2004 UPDATES
Last August 23rd was a wonderful celebration of Emily's marriage at our vacation cottage in Southern Ontario, Canada. Ryan walked her down the aisle, (or should I say, through the trees) and Allison was a perfect flower girl. Robert's spirit was very much present, as this was his "Sacred Place." He is buried here. The vows were repeated overlooking the lake at sunset with lots of our dear friends from the area in attendance. Many thanks to those brave souls who made the trek from afar. Even Emily’s first grade teacher, Sister Kathleen from Andover, Mass. made it! My 'Sound of Music' sister, Debbie Turner, made a return visit with her beautiful family. During the week, every room of the place was occupied, as was every sofa. There were even folks sleeping in tents in the woods. We ate, toasted and danced till the wee hours and more. My little Emily is now Mrs. Stacey Crowe. |

APRIL 2004 Hello Everyone! It’s been ages since I’ve updated this website. Much has happened in our lives and all is well. I sold the big house and moved to a smaller more manageable one closer to town and my friends. Allison started kindergarten and Ryan graduates college in June with a Biology degree. My daughter Emily is married and had her baby, Michelle Loralai, on April 27, 2004 at 3:20PM. She was 11 lbs 9oz and 21 inches long. I was thrilled to be able to be there for the exciting event. Here's a picture of me when Emily was a baby...and now to think my baby had a baby. Yes…it’s the “G” word for me. We will be celebrating her wedding in Canada with family and friends this summer. We had a baby shower for Emily in my new house and a good time was had by all. Emily opening gifts with sister Allison, Friends from SOM Charmian, me and Angela, Emily's friends, Janet Roth (head of The Urich Fund for Cancer Research) with her daughter, and Charmian and I at the end of the shower. I just came back form a wonderful trip to NYC where I saw lots of great theater. Kym Karath and I visited Christopher Plummer back stage after enjoying his incredible performance of "King Lear". It was the first time I had seen him since the making of “The Sound of Music”. We had a terrific visit and vowed not to let another 40 years go by in-between.
Until next time
